The TQUK Award in Principles of Risk Assessment begins with a short course introduction and overview before we look at what risk assessment is, why we need to do it, and how it reduces accidents in the workplace.

In this section, we look at what is classed as a hazard and how accidents are caused, and specifically at lone worker risk assessing and planning for emergencies.

In order to carry out a Risk Assessment, we need to understand the 5 stages, this section looks at each stage in greater detail and you will learn how to Risk Assess.

This section specifically looks at Manual Handling Risk Assessment using the T.I.L.E acronym, Task, Individual, Load, and Environment.

There are a number of ways to reduce risks and here we look at the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), COSHH control measures, and how to ensure risks stay controlled. Finally, we look at the need to plan for emergencies as part of the Risk Assessment process.

This final section looks at how you take your online test, the open response test, your Zoom meeting and how you get your completion certificate, evidenced-based learning statement and Certified CPD statement.
